Videos & Multimedia

As a reporter at the South Florida Sun Sentinel I shoot, edit, and produce photos, videos, and multimedia packages.

Sometimes, I would produce entire multimedia packages with photos, videos, and a brief article:

Garden Workday at the Swinton Community Growing Project

Spady Cultural Heritage Museum celebrates freeing of slaves with ‘Juneteenth’ celebration

FAU preschoolers rally for peace in Boca Raton

Other times, I shoot video on the fly, post it to social media and then embed those videos into articles:

- Protesters march from Bubier Park to Broward County Jail in first day of nationwide prison strike
- Labor and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta urges students to organize, get involved and vote
- Teen walks out of hospital weeks after lacrosse accident leaves him paralyzed

These short videos are not always included in articles and sometimes stand alone as Instagram or Facebook Live videos:

- Activists and protesters gather at Centennial Park for Fort Myers #marchforourlives @marchforourlives @sunsentinel
- Organizations protest private prison company GEO Group at future headquarters in Boca Raton
- Suspects arrested in Boca Raton at gun point

Some videos tease stories coming later that day or week:

- Hundreds of people show up to the grand opening of the Blanche Ely Educational Museum in Pompano Beach this morning
- Leonard ‘Len’ Cline, 72, will ride his bicycle 100 miles around Palm Beach County on Saturday to raise money for the American Cancer Society
- Young adults with physical or developmental challenges take their first swimming lesson at the YMCA in Boynton Beach
